Since 1993
A Czech family importer bringing in food from family producers since 1993 – food it would feed its own dog.
Exclusive importer of super-premium pet food from family companies around the world
Why a family company from Opava became a brand you want on your shelves.
The year is 1993. Ing. Gerhard Stein founds STAZ s.r.o. in Opava. His reason is simple and uncompromising — the Czech market lacks quality food that he would be willing to feed his own dog. Instead of waiting for someone to make it, he seeks out family producers in Italy, Germany, Canada and Iceland and starts importing what no one in the Czech Republic could offer.
Over thirty years, one man's vision and a single crate have grown into a company run today by the second generation of his family. It is the exclusive importer of FirstMate and Nuova Fattoria and distributes its own brands, Topstein and Farm Fresh, to several European countries.

STAZ Code
Every food in our portfolio meets these standards:
- Transparent ingredients with no colourings, chemicals, flavour enhancers, soya, salt, chemical preservatives or GMOs
- Certified production in quality fit for human consumption
- Only family companies or our own recipes
- Super-premium segment — never in a supermarket
And it holds inside the company too: our people feed their dogs and cats only what we supply to you. It is also our internal quality filter — if we don't trust a product ourselves, it won't reach you or your customers.
